To be successful as an Operational Risk, Barclays Europe VP, you should have experience with:
Leading Operational Risk oversight in an Investment Banking or financial services environment
Applying and challenging risk frameworks from a second line of defence perspective
Driving risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across complex business units
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Deep understanding of Markets, Treasury, Corporate, Private and Investment Banking operations
Familiarity with all of the risk categories that would fall under Operational Risk, such as Data, Supplier, Resilience and Fraud.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills

This role is regulated by Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) - Controlled Function.
This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
Purpose of the role
To provide independent review and challenge of the Operational Risk elements of particular risk categories across the bank. Ensuring they are carried out in accordance with Barclays Operational Risk Framework, Policies, and Standards
