Explore locationJoin us as a Senior Java Developer at Barclays where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence . In this role, you will actively contribute to various projects spanning across critical technical deliveries, regulatory projects and platform enhancements requested by the product owner or business users.
To be successful as a Senior Java Developer you should have experience with:
• Core Java SE 8+ in a commercial environment including experience with JDBC, multi-threading and messaging, XML processing, etc.
• Design patterns, object-oriented design principles and database design fundamentals
• Spring ecosystem, Hibernate or alternative J2EE technologies
Some other highly valued skills may include:
• Experience with Middleware including MQ & JMS and Web Service (SOAP & REST API)
• Knowledge of Linux-based systems and UNIX scripting.
• Experience with DevOps, source control, unit and integration testing, continuous integration, release management, and other software development practices.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
The successful candidate will work from our Prague office.
