Join us as a AVP- SRM CoE at Barclays, where you'll be part of the Supplier Relationship Management Centre of Excellence (SRM CoE) team which manages Corporate Real Estate Solutions and Location Strategy (CRES & LS) suppliers globally, streamlines and centrally manages.
- Govern and control the supplier risk evaluation while onboarding suppliers, to ensure that contracts executed have the right risk controls and are compliant to all relevant policies.
- End to end supplier management from tracking onboarding, to post-contract management, to exit.
- Ensure that CRES suppliers are managed appropriately in line with the Bank’s standards and procedures.
Overall purpose of role:
- This role is integral part of Global Supply Relationship Management (SRM COE) framework, supporting the Global CRES frontline as part of a dedicated team based out of Pune.
- Deliver and maintain robust processes and standardization leading to efficiency and assurance.
- Role holder will be handling cross-border interactions and country nuances and will be required to closely collaborate with global stakeholders across borders, to provide advice, governance and support on all aspects relating to onboarding, management and exit of suppliers.
- Work closely with CRES Risk and CCO teams to ensure that third party risk is managed within appetite for CRES.
To be a successful AVP- SRM CoE, you should have experience with (Mandatory):
Functional know-how: Strong and credible functional know-how and deep understanding of Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Third Party Risk Management activities Value-based business perspective: has a strong appreciation of risk and control impact of supplier onboarding and ongoing management; is always looking for opportunities for reducing process complexities .

Purpose of the role
To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk.
Accountabilities
- Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings.
- Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations.
- Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice.
- Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework.
