Join us as an AVP- SRM CoE at Barclays, where you'll be part of the Supplier Relationship Management Centre of Excellence (SRM CoE) team which manages Corporate Real Estate Solutions and Location Strategy (CRES & LS) suppliers globally.

To be successful as an AVP- SRM CoE, you should have experience with:

  • Functional know-how: Strong and credible functional know-how and deep understanding of Supplier Management and Third Party Risk Management activities.
  • Value-based business perspective: has a strong appreciation of risk and control impact of supplier onboarding and ongoing management; is always looking for opportunities for reducing process complexities.
  • Organised and structured with high attention to detail.
  • Analytical, process orientated, diligent and logical approach to work
  • Comfort with pulling reports and crunching data.
  • Comfort with presentation of concepts to stakeholders at a summary level
  • Ability to balance speed of delivery with the requirement to deep-dive in different situations.
  • Address critical situations in a seamless and comfortable manner.
  • Direct experience of global organisation/colleagues and matrix reporting. Willingness to travel as required.
  • Highly articulate and persuasive communicator with proven written and verbal communication.

  • Comfort with basic usage of MS Excel (basic formulae, VLookup and other similar basics), MS Word and MS PowerPoint.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Domain knowledge of Corporate Real Estate organisations and their working is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of MS Access, Advanced Excel, Tableau or other similar analytical tools.
  • Any experience in Compliance, Audit or similar functions.
  • Certifications in Supplier Mgmt. would be highly desirable.

Purpose of the role

To manage and monitor supplier risk and performance to meet the requirements of the Barclays Third party Service provider Policy and Standards, through control execution, commercial management, relationship and risk management.

Accountabilities

  • Management and execution of the supplier control processes, including oversight of suppliers and their performance, monitoring of KPIs to guarantee expectations are met.
  • Collaboration with various stakeholder groups to produce deliverables that meet procurement needs, policies and standards, mitigate supplier risks and issues and ensure supplier relationship align to the bank’s needs and business strategy.
  • Identification of suppliers that will provide the right goods and service through market research, capabilities analysis and contract negotiation.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments related to supplier management tools and techniques by attending conferences and participating in training.
  • Monitoring of suppliers’ control operation to meet Barclays Third party Service provider Management Standards and contractual obligations including quality standards, risk mitigation and commercial activity.
  • Collaboration with regulatory teams to support Global regulatory requests/exams/ongoing activity.
