To be successful a Developer - Collateral Strategy, where you should have experience with:
Deliver on critical business priorities while evolving platform towards it’s strategic vision
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science, Mathematics or Scientific discipline
Work closely with product managers, end users, business analysts to understand business objectives and key success measures
Partner with technology teams to design and architect solutions that align to Barclays Architecture, Data and Security standards, while utilizing best-of-breed technology
Develop and test resilient, scalable, and reusable services and APIs utilizing latest frameworks and libraries while adhering to development standards
Implement automated build, test and deployment pipelines utilizing latest DevOps tools
Proactively create and manage relevant application documentation
Participate in Scrum ceremonies and conduct sprint demos for stakeholders
Proactively manage application health and platform stabililty by reviewing technical debt, operational risks and vulnerabilities
Define metrics and instrument measurement and monitoring of production environment to ensure that application meet Service Level Objectives
Work alongside Run the Bank support teams to ensure health of production environment and address issues
Evaluate software and vendors and conduct proof-of-concept
The developer needs to keep the stakeholders in the loop and provide timely updates / escalations.
Work with Dev lead to design appropriate technical solutions
Interact with Business analysts to understand and validate business requirements
Interact with and support Operations to ensure deliverables
Some other highly valued skills may include:
5-7 years of hands on experience in full stack enterprise level application development using object oriented languages (C#, python)
UI Frameworks like Angular, Cloud: AWS; Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, Server-less architecture.
5+ years of experience in popular wed development frameworks (Angular, React, JQuery)
5+ years of RDBMS experience (SQL server preferred)
Hands-on experience on cloud technologies such as AWS
3+ years of experience working with cloud enabled micro-service development
Hands on experience working with various messaging framework (Kafka, MQ, Solace)
Strong familiarity with source code management and continuous integration/delivery processes and tools like Git, , Jenkins, Chef, SonarQube and other DevSecOps tools in the cloud environment such as AWS.
Working exposure with Agile methodologies (Scrum & SAFe) is a must.
Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying high-volume, multi-tiered, distributed business critical applications.
