Job Description:
The Director – Data Catalogue & Modelling will establish and lead a globally accountable capability responsible for data cataloguing across the Investment Bank. The role will focus on enabling the creation and cataloguing of reusable data products on the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), supporting business transformation, improved data accessibility, and advanced analytics and AI use cases.
Essential:
Significant experience in data architecture, data modelling, or data engineering within large-scale data environments.
Strong understanding of data platforms, data mesh and data product architectures. Proven experience in building and leading teams.
Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on technical leader. Strong stakeholder management experience, working with both business and technology teams.
Experience within financial markets / investment banking. (e.g. trading, risk, post-trade, collateral, settlements)
Experience defining or implementing enterprise data catalogues or metadata management capabilities.
Desirable:
Exposure to enterprise data platforms and modern data architectures. Experience operating in global, distributed team models.
Experience of Amazon Web Services data platforms and Alation for data cataloguing.

The successful candidate will be based in Pune.
Purpose of the role
To define, direct and govern the bank’s target data architecture (inc. shared data environment, data model and standards) in support of business strategy, ensuring that data is accurate, secure and accessible to meet the needs of stakeholders.
