Lead the data engineering and data platform build out under the Corporate Data Strategy within Barclays Deliver a modern Data Lake house and a metadata / config driven data engineering framework to support more efficient and timely access to data for business stakeholders Manage c.£10 technology investment annually Remediate legacy control gaps and improve stability and security posture of the platform Enable the migration of legacy platforms and data solutions to the strategic cloud enterprise data platforms
Skills and Experiences:
Thought leader in the field of Data Engineering and Data Platforms Strong communicator, able to influence business and Tech senior stakeholders Expert in concepts of Lakehouse, config driven data engineering and event based architecture Able to be hands on when required to guide the team through complex technical challenges Experience of leading cloud adoption / migration and team sizes of 100 to 150 globally Financial Services Experience Scaled Agile in a comparable setting
