To be successful as an Engineer; you should have experience with:
Strong expertise in Oracle Database administration
Hands-on experience in:
RDBMS, PL/SQL programming
Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers
Indexing strategies (creation, optimization, performance tuning)
Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and performance tuning
Experience in database design, schema management, and data modeling
Ability to analyze and resolve application-level database performance issues
Experience in supporting application releases and database deployments
Understanding of data integrity, security, and availability concepts
Exposure to backup and recovery processes
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Exposure to AI / Machine Learning concepts
Experience or awareness of Generative AI (Gen AI) technologies
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)
Familiarity with cloud database platforms
Experience with performance monitoring tools (AWR, OEM, etc.)
Basic shell scripting knowledge
Knowledge of DB2, Teradata
Knowledge about service-now change management system
Knowledge of java programming

The role is based out of Pune.
