As an Engineering Manager you will lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.
To be a successful Engineering Manager, you should have experience with:
Technical leadership and Engineering Excellence: Strong technical skills in Mainframe Technology – COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM. Proven track record of delivering world class engineering solutions within complex enterprise domains with the ability to grasp any technology and provide necessary guidance.
Agile and Scrum Methodologies: Understanding of Agile Software Engineering practices and experience of working in dynamic teams following scrum development practices. Proficient in implementing SDLC practices.
Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:
Domain Expertise: Good understanding of Credit Cards System
Frameworks and Tools: Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, and JIRA. Tracking and reporting of Engineering/DORA Metrics, Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based in Pune.
