IFC - Full Stack Developer- AVP

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Lead to join us on an exciting journey as we modernize our Corporate Banking platforms to make them simpler, leaner and more efficient. You will utilize your strong industry and domain expertise to shape up our Technology product offerings to meet the business requirements for the future. You'll harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.

To be successful in this role , you should have experience with:

• Experience in full-stack development with expertise in building dynamic, responsive, and reusable components.

• Worked on Enterprise Case Management Life cycle applications involving backend server builds in either Java.

• Experience with Kafka or other message brokers for event-driven communication.

• Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot. Strong understanding of Spring Framework (e.g., Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data).

• Strong knowledge of state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and React hooks. Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.

• Experience building cloud native Java backend components at enterprise grade either based on Open Shift or AWS. 

• Experience building core API services, that’s been used across wider teams. 

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and SQL.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Basic understanding of Camunda BPM for workflow orchestration and process automation. Familiarity with BPMN 2.0 for designing workflows.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Jest, React Testing Library).

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
