Operational Analyst

Step into the role of Operational Analyst at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future. In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct.

 You will focus on supporting day-to-day operational activities, ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of financial transactions while maintaining high standards of control and compliance. The role works closely with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues, improve process efficiency, and deliver seamless business operations within Barclays.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:

• Perform daily operational processing, reconciliations, and account balancing activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion of transactions.

• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, operational discrepancies, and exceptions while adhering to established controls and SLAs.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support business operations, improve workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

• Maintain accurate operational records, prepare reports, and contribute to audit readiness through proper documentation.

Desirable skills set:

• Strong understanding of Commerce, Accounting, Financial Operations, and Reconciliation processes.

• Experience in financial operations, transaction processing, and account reconciliation within a banking or financial services environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

This role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
