As a Senior Salesforce Developer with GenAI skillset at Barclays, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge GenAI solutions to drive innovation and enhance customer experiences within the financial services domain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions.

To be successful as Senior Salesforce Developer you should have experience with:

  • Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience, 5+ years of python experience and 2+ years of GenAI/ML experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of Python programming language and its frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, NumPy, Pandas)

  • Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts, algorithms, and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

  • Solid experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face)

  • Proven track record of working with large-scale datasets, data manipulation, cleaning, and preprocessing

  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git and collaborative development practices

  • Experience in deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments within the financial services industry

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for deploying and scaling GenAI applications in a secure and compliant manner

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for seamless deployment and scalability

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, project management tools, and financial services regulatory requirements

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
