Explore locationEmbark your transformative journey with Barclays as a Senior Software Engineer in Cloud Platform Risk and Control team where you’ll play a pivotal role in providing and achieving bank’s strategic risk objectives by the identification of business requirements and solutions that address business problems and opportunities in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. You will act as primary liaison service between the business, technology, and security functions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, and support the mitigation of security risk or own remediation plan of security Risk posture for building secure Cloud platforms. Your role involves engaging with various technology, security, architecture teams, building reusable patterns for further downstream consumption.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Expert understanding of Chef and Ansible and a broad knowledge of public cloud services.
Good understanding of governance, risk, and compliance methodologies.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills demonstrating a collaborative approach across a range of stakeholders, including senior colleagues.
Team player with an ability to support colleagues in achieving team objectives.
Critical thinking.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
AWS, Azure cloud platforms, CISSP certified or similar security certification.
Good software engineering background, with hands-on experience in modern development practices (CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, etc.).
Ability to build technical demos, hands-on workshops, prototypes, and code samples to support education efforts.
Experience in developer education, developer enablement, or technical advocacy with a background in hosting technical workshops, hackathons, or meetups.
Familiarity with open-source software and community-driven development.

This role is based in our Pune office.
