To be successful as a “Software Engineer ", you should have experience with:
Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
Strong hands-on development experience with Java 21, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot for building secure, scalable, cloud-native microservices.
Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs aligned to enterprise REST standards, API security expectations, versioning, performance, and reliability requirements.
Strong expertise in Gradle build engineering, dependency management, multi-module project structures, repeatable builds, and CI/CD integration.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including data modelling, query optimisation, indexing, operational considerations, and integration with microservices.
Experience with containerisation and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, including deployment, configuration, scaling, observability, and troubleshooting of services.
Practical experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native delivery patterns, with awareness of resilience, monitoring, security, and cost-conscious engineering practices.
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture, including producers, consumers, topics, error handling, retry patterns, and message-driven integration.
Strong engineering discipline across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, code review, testing, release, support, and continuous improvement.
Proficient with Git and GitLab, including branching strategies, merge requests, code review practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated checks, and release governance.
Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including secure coding, dependency scanning, vulnerability management, secrets handling, quality gates, and pipeline automation.
Strong testing mindset with hands-on experience in JUnit, unit testing, integration testing, contract testing, mutation testing, automated quality reporting, and test coverage improvement.
Experience with performance testing, load testing, profiling, tuning, and diagnosing application bottlenecks across microservices, APIs, databases, and messaging layers.
Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery teams, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, estimation, and predictable incremental delivery.
Strong working knowledge of modern developer tooling including IntelliJ IDEA, local development setup, debugging, build/test execution, code quality tools, and secure source control workflows.
Practical awareness of AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitLab Duo, Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent, using them responsibly for code generation, refactoring, documentation, test creation, and productivity improvement while retaining engineering accountability.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
4–8 years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably with sustained delivery of Java-based microservices in large-scale enterprise environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in financial services, digital banking, payments, customer-facing platforms, or other regulated technology environments would be advantageous.
Exposure to API governance, service reliability practices, platform modernisation, cloud migration, or legacy application transformation would be beneficial.
Relevant certifications in Java, AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Agile, DevSecOps, or cloud-native engineering practices would be desirable but not mandatory.
This role will be based out of Pune.

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
