Embark your transformative journey as Solution Architect for Global Pricing Tool a multi-year programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering changes by following Agile practices into the Global Pricing Tool application, ensuring the standards are adhered to and exceeded and that all project requirements are met. In addition, as a senior developer they will be responsible for supporting and managing junior development team members to ensure the continual growth of the team and identification and implementation of development process improvements and innovations. The role is required to interact with various teams during requirement definition like Business, Product, Operations, Finance, risk and compliance to understand the requirement. The role is expected to interact with the application vendor to define and clarify the requirements that are captured. the role is also expected to interact with various dependent application teams in the landscape.  The role is expected to bring in clarity to the interactions between other systems and the Pricing application. To lead and be accountable for all solutioning/end to end design activities for projects across the end-to-end software development lifecycle within pricing. To analyze project scoping statement, project requirements to help define a complete end to end solution, utilizing capabilities available across wholesale Lending or in the wider markets. The role is expected to maintain ownership of the design throughout the software development life cycle, ensuring  continued  alignment  to  end-to-end  designs,  reviewing  and  approving component designs driven from the wider end to end design. To identify and develop innovative solution that will enhance the client experience and provide a cost effective solution for Pricing. To provide  technical  consultancy  for  new  initiatives,  to  assist  in  the  definition  of  business requirements or technical strategies. own  end  to  end  technical  and  application  architecture  for  allocated projects  within  the Pricing,  identifying  and  engaging  all  technical  component  teams  that  need  to contribute To present large project designs at the appropriate Design Authority and work  with  the  lead  architect to  evolve  the  architectures  and standards,  ensuring  their  effectiveness  alongside  advancing  business,  security  and technology landscapes. To ensure project designs are compliant to architectures and standards by producing required governance artefacts as dictated by governance board assigned to the project.

To be successful as VP Solution Architect, you should have experience with:

  • They should be Graduate / Post graduate.
  • Proven expertise in ASP.NET MVC, WCF Services, WEB API, ASP.NET Core with hands on experience in Database technologies e.g. SQL server 2017.
  • Experience in Micro Services based architecture and REST standards & Strong experience in writing SQL scripts, Stored Procedures.
  • Well versed with Agile Process & should be aware of lending products in corporate banking domain.

  • Knowledge of Reference data.
  • Experience in DevOps implementation and ability to continually identify automation and integration opportunities to continuous improvement in application development processes.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and implement solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and design and implement solutions that meet those needs and create solutions that balance technology risks against business delivery, driving consistency. 

Accountabilities

  • Design and development of solutions as products that can evolve, meeting business requirements that align with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling. This includes identification and implementation of the technologies and platforms.
  • Targeted design activities that apply an appropriate workload placement strategy and maximise the benefit of cloud capabilities such as elasticity, serverless, containerisation etc.
  • Best practice designs incorporating security principles (such as defence in depth and reduction of blast radius) that meet the Bank’s resiliency expectations.
  • Solutions that appropriately balance risks and controls to deliver the agreed business and technology value.
  • Adoption of standardised solutions where they fit. If no standard solutions fit, feed into their ongoing evolution where appropriate.
  • Fault finding and performance issues support to operational support teams, leveraging available tooling.
  • Solution design impact assessment in terms of risk, capacity and cost impact, inc. estimation of project change and ongoing run costs.
  • Development of the requisite architecture inputs required to comply with the banks governance processes, including design artefacts required for architecture, privacy, security and records management governance processes.
