To be successful as a Sr. DevOps Engineer you should have experience with:
Version Control Systems: Git, SVN.
Continuous Integration & Deployment Tools: Jenkins / TeamCity / GitLab.
Configuration management Tools: Chef.
Containerization Platform: Docker, Kubernetes.
Cloud Platform: OpenShift.
Monitoring and Logging Tools : ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Beats.
Coding & Scripting Language : Java & Microservices, Python, Linux Comments.
Collaboration and Communication Platforms : Teams, Jira.
Database: MongoDB / Oracle DB / MS SQL Server.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Hands on experience with Java 21.
Experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming and message processing.
Camel Framework design and implementation experience.
Understanding of RESTful API design principles and Batch flow Design.
