Structured Credit Transaction Management Group (TMG) is a Front Office function that works closely with Trading and Structuring on all new structured credit transaction, ensuring the right level of due diligence has been carried out on the structures and all key economic terms of these transactions can be captured in firm infrastructure. The team further works with the desk and all infrastructure partners in the organisation to maintain the highest standards of trade capture, life cycling and monitoring which are crucial to the firm's risk management. The function involves constant liaison with, and often provides a link between, Sales, Structuring, Trading, IT, Finance, Risk, Operations, Legal and Compliance.

Joins Barclays in the role of Analyst Structured Credit TMG, which you will play a pivotal role by involving front line support of Global Credit & Financing Solutions (GCFS), CLO & Global Credit Asset Solutions (GCAS) business activities performed by the Structured Credit desks working closely with Structured traders across all Barclays offices in EMEA, US and Asia.

  • Initial Trade Capture and validation of Structured Products and Position Management (Life cycling – Loan Paydowns, Terminations, Rate Resets, Restructuring etc)

  • Review of term sheets to ensure all aspects of the transaction are captured and ensure all new transactions have been onboarded onto internal and external vendor platforms

  • Input real-time exceptions related to regulations into Trade Capture Systems (e.g. MIFID, Dodd-Frank, Brexit, Mandatory Clearing) and responsible for exception and query management related to Structured packages/positions

Desirable Skills:

•    Front Office support (Trading Assistant, Trade Support, Middle Office) experience

•    Structured Product knowledge (CLN, SPV Repack, Bespoke CDS, Total Return Swap, Repo) including payoffs and valuation challenges

•    Experience of handling/resolving P&L queries

Purpose of the role

To develop and implement structured financial products and solutions to meet the needs of clients and optimize the bank's market exposure and profitability. 

Accountabilities

  • Development of innovative structured financial products and solutions to address the specific needs of clients, including derivatives, structured notes, and other structured investment products.
  • Risk analysis and management associated with structured products, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.
  • Assessment of pricing and valuation of structured products, including the use of mathematical models and financial instruments, and liaising with trading to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Collaboration with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective product implementation and risk mitigation.
