Explore locationStep into your next role and make a difference as a key member of the Barclays Corporate Banking - Asia Trade Operations (ATO) team. You will be responsible for managing client relationships to facilitate Front Office business growth and expansion by providing guidance and support to Corporate Banking clients throughout the facility documentation and trade transaction processing cycle. This position entails close collaboration with Front Office and infrastructure teams (including Trade & Working Capital Operations, Legal, Credit Risk, and Financial Crime) to ensure that the interests of both the client and Barclays are appropriately addressed. Additionally, you may also have to draw on your expertise and knowledge to find creative ways to meet the needs of complex clients.
This position involves supporting international trade and financing needs of clients. You should have earned the Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) and possess strong expertise in trade finance products, as well as a thorough grasp of the full processes involved with each product. A solid understanding of both trade and debt documentation is required, including the ability to distinguish standard from non-standard wording and assess associated risks. Working knowledge of ICC rules for trade products (UCP600, ISBP, URC522, and URR725) and familiarity with SWIFT messaging are also essential. Knowledge of the Corporate Banking cash management would be an advantage.
