Explore locationStep into the role of Acquisition Credit Strategy and New Deals Evaluation at Barclays, where you will focus on the evaluation of new deals and all aspects of acquisition credit strategy within the airline space. This will include elements of estimating risk of new partners and doing loss forecast for potential new partners, working with deal team on establishing contractual underwriting targets, improving the underwriting process, implementation testing, and generating dashboards. You'll be required to keep up with, and perform within, the regulations and control guidelines. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has lots of visibility within the bank and ample opportunity for growth.
To be successful as an Acquisition Credit Strategy and New Deals Evaluation, you should have:
Analytical experience in financial services industry; credit card experience preferred
Experience in developing credit strategies in a lending product
Experience with SAS/SQL or other relevant statistical tools. Proficiency with analytical software (e.g. SAS), SQL tools (e.g., Oracle), Unix platforms, Knowledge Seeker, and MS Office
Familiarity with loss forecasting, improving the underwriting criteria, and implementation testing

Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and thrive in a dynamic and brisk environment
Knowledge of statistic principals
Ability to understand the nuance of strategy
Knowledge of credit regulations and controls

To use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organisation.
