Senior Project Manager

As a Barclays Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead complex, highly visible programs/projects that cut across the business, operations & technology by developing a plan, analyzing potential risks & benefits, working with business partners to land on best solutions, and driving your team to deliver through completion. Coordinating overall project documentation across bank functions including requirements, meeting agendas, minutes, and weekly status reports, and ensuring compliance with Barclays policies and standards will be part of your role.

What will you be doing?

•    Spearheading large projects with multiple business, operations, and technology stakeholders
•    Being responsible for organizing project delivery cadence and run effective discussions with senior leadership and project team
•    Coordinating overall project documentation across all bank functions including requirements, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, weekly status reports, etc
•    Defining, creating and updating project plan. Track upcoming deliverables and ensure completion of project milestones and tasks
•    Ensuring projects are completed according to time and budget schedules, and that objectives conform to line of business' overall standards
•    Taking responsibility for leveraging project management best practices and apply lessons learned from completed projects
•    Managing the identification and resolution of risks and issues and promoting effective working relationships with stakeholders 

What we’re looking for:

•    Several years project management experience, managing projects, spearheading teams to include experience developing detailed end-to-end project plans, budget/financial 
•    Proven ability to manage and influence others to deliver intended outcomes in a matrixed environment
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on relationship building and collaboration
•    Ability to effectively manage through ambiguity

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    More than three years of experience working in Financial Services
•    Understanding and experience of managing Mergers & Acquisitions
•    PMP/PMI certification, LEAN or Six Sigma a plus
