To be successful as a DevOps Engineer, you should have experience with:
Experience in AWS EKS, AWS Cloud services (MSK, OpenSearch).
Expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Good experience with GitLab pipelines, Jenkins, Nexus, and CI/CD.
Good scripting experience (Shell, Chef/Ansible IaC).
Demonstrated experience in PEGA PRPC Administration (versions 24.1.4/25/26).
Experience with Pega Deployment Manager using CI/CD.
Good troubleshooting, JVM, RDBMS tuning and platform administration (Tomcat).
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Knowledge of Payments Exceptions & Investigations, especially Pega Smart Investigate
Familiarity with ISO20022, SWIFT, SEPA, FED, CHIPS, FPS message formats.
Understanding of Tomcat, PostgreSQL, and general backend/middleware components.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
Awareness of current IT development trends and payment industry trends.
