Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Understanding and experience of Product Control / Financial Control or Finance related processes
Excellent understanding of front to back system architecture and E2E processes and controls within Product Control / Barclays.
Proven ability to work under pressure and balance priorities to meet tight deadlines.
Demonstrated experience running operations functions and should have worked on transformation programs within Risk, Finance or Treasury
Excellent team player with the ability to also work independently when required.
Understanding and exposure to project management disciplines and techniques / Full project lifecycle processes.
Proven ability to adapt to an evolving operating model and to actively participate in its development.
Proven ability to steer solutions, building processes based on strong understanding of the infrastructure in place.
Skilled in the use of data analysis and presentation software tools; able to extract and understand the underlying picture from a wealth of complex data.
Ability to work in a virtual team and work without supervision for long periods of time.
Pragmatic rather than idealistic outlook.
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Academic and professional qualifications that may include CA / CFA / master’s in finance would be an advantage.
Good Experience ranging with operations strategy/ line management roles in financial institutions, consulting or technology companies or programme/ change management roles in other industries.
Proven ability to network and build rapport and credibility quickly with a variety of key stakeholders (FO, Ops Senior Management, IT).
Strong analytical skills required to perform complex analysis on the volumes and process flow to identify the root cause.
Able to pay attention to detail and demonstrate awareness of internal controls.
Strong/Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of breaks and issues.
Ability to cope with change and very tight deadlines.

This role will be based out of Chennai.
