Join us as a Change and Engagement Manager VP for 9-Month FTC to build strong and effective partnerships with the senior leadership of the organisation, advising on how to engage and influence employees to achieve the business’s goals, through an insight-based employee change and engagement strategy, backed up with outstanding execution capability.

As a Barclays Change Manager, you will be supporting the delivery and embedding of change, impacting colleagues across this area and the whole organisation. Working within the Change Management workstream, this role will support and lead on delivery of Change Management activity. Support includes developing a change strategy and supporting engagement plans and delivering required engagement activities, working with business to assess impact of change, build out readiness plans and track of readiness for each phase of delivery.  Maximising adoption of new processes and technology. 

Some of your key accountabilities will be:

  • Develop and maintain change strategies, conducting key elements such as change impact assessments and developing people focused change

  • Develop and maintain engagement plans for supported projects

  • Participate in relevant project team meetings, representing the Change & Engagement team

  • Gather required content for engagement materials and ensure content is written in a clear, concise language

  • Produce required engagement materials, including email communications, briefing packs, articles, FAQs, etc

  • Manage all change and engagement queries arising from supported projects and actioning in a timely manner

  • Capture feedback and lessons learned on delivered change and engagement activities to continue to improve activities in the future

  • Network with other change engagement leads in HR and across Barclays to align activities, where appropriate, and share best practice

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Extensive experience of understanding business requirements, change impacts and delivering impactful change activity and communications

  • Ability to engage with change recipients, understand their needs, create and/or execute plans for successful landing of the change

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels

  • Proven ability to effectively influence and communicate at all levels

Purpose of the role

Accountabilities

  • Leadership communication, using detailed, systematic insight research to help senior leaders understand employee sentiment, and empower them to communicate empathetically with their people.
  • Business strategy alignment, building belief in the strategy of the organisation, and the progress being made, with a strong focus on the impact employees have on the client experience.
  • Culture and employee proposition communication, designing and implementing communication interventions that influence individual behaviour to create a culture built on the Barclays Mindset; demonstrate why the organisation is a great place to work.
  • Change delivery, creating communication interventions that build employee commitment and capability through organisational change.
  • Crisis and issues management, working closely with the senior team as part of the management response, focused on the role of employees in engaging clients.
  • Capability building, leading and developing a high-performing team, building individual skills and team capabilities.
