Explore locationJoin us at Barclays as a DevOps Engineer. Join our Customer Care Technology team and play a key role in shaping the CI/CD strategy for experiences that impact millions of customers and colleagues.
To be successful as a DevOps Engineer, you should have experience with:
Full end-to-end CI/CD roadmap ownership – with proven experience with Cloud deployment.
Proven experience with tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, SonarQube, Docker and platform like Kubernetes and AWS.
Infrastructure as Code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.
Scripting expertise – automating and integrating pipelines using Python and Shell.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Observability tools – ELK, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
An exposure to test automation, test driven development (TDD) and agile delivery practices
Progressive delivery techniques – blue-green deployments, canary releases, feature flags.
Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, ELK, AWS CloudWatch, AWS XRay

This role is based in Glasgow.
