Explore locationJoin us as a Risk Assessment Senior Associate and take a leading role in investigating high-risk clients and complex cases. You will analyse intelligence to determine what triggered a review, identify potential non-compliance, fraud, or misconduct, and recommend actions that protect both the bank and its clients. Your work will include reviewing court orders, advising on transaction monitoring, and escalating key issues to senior teams. This is a dynamic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about upholding the highest standards of ethics, accountability, and financial integrity.
To be successful as a Risk Assessment Senior Associate you are required to have experience with
Knowledge of due diligence or risk function roles.
Knowledge of AML Laws and Regulations.
Some other highly valued skills may include
A formal qualification or certification in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) - such as an ICA (International Compliance Association) Diploma or Certificate in AML or similar.
Understanding and knowledge of high-risk industry sectors and money laundering threats posed by Business Banking clients.
Experience of managing high quality due diligence reviews.
Investigation experience. Proficiency with Barclays investigative tools and software.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role can be based in Glasgow or Northampton.
Purpose of the role
To conduct investigations into various aspects of the bank’s operations and/or conduct of individuals to identify and address potential instances of non-compliance, fraud, misconduct, or other unethical behaviour, that harms or is likely to harm the reputation or financial well-being of the firm or may lead to legal and/or regulatory censure.
