Explore locationJoin us as a Senior Software Engineer Lead at Barclays, where you will bring to life a new Digital Platform capability by transforming and modernising our cash settlement platform to build a market-leading digital offering with trader and middle office experience at its heart. This is an exciting and key role where you will adopt a Product scratch building mindset, to truly hear the customer, business and technical challenges and needs, to support the Adoption and build of the new technology into the multiple lines of business alongside writing code in Java. Your main day to day is to work with the lines of business and bring to life their needs through solutions and realising these through rapid implementation and proof of concepts using Java, BDD testing concepts and Private Cloud.
To be successful as a Senior Tech Lead, you should have:
Hands on experience on Java backend stack (Java 11+ , spring boot, microservices)
Hands on experience on Kafka, MQ (Middleware integration)
Experience with relational DB (oracle, SQL Server)
Other highly valued skills include:
Test driven development experience (Cucumber)
CI / CD Pipeline creation and deployment in Private Cloud
Private and public cloud experience

This role is located in Glasgow.
