You will actively oversee their investment approach, provide thoughtful and ongoing financial advice, make necessary portfolio adjustments, and coordinate with specialists to ensure every aspect of their financial life is aligned and well‑managed.
This role is part of our Wealth Management Business, a growing area for the bank. We’re expanding our ability to support clients with investable assets up to £3 million and help close the Advice Gap in the UK. As part of our broader Affluent segment, this planning-led proposition offers clear and accessible investment options shaped around each client’s needs. Clients benefit from a seamless experience that blends digital channels with adviser support, creating a connected and supportive journey.
In this role, you will build deep, meaningful relationships with clients—listening carefully, understanding what matters most to them, and offering bespoke solutions that support their financial and lifestyle goals. Whether they are preparing for retirement, investing for the future, or navigating day‑to‑day banking needs, you will be the steady, knowledgeable partner they rely on for clarity and confidence.

To be successful as a Wealth Manager, you should have experience with:
Maintaining and deepening relationships within a High Net Worth client base, ensuring clients receive consistent support and remarkable service
Holding RDR Level 4 qualification, complemented by a financial planning qualification, and demonstrating outstanding relationship‑management skills; experience working directly with individuals and families to support their multi-layered financial needs is highly advantageous
Gaining a thorough understanding of clients’ goals, priorities and circumstances, and providing tailored guidance across a broad range of wealth management solutions
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience of providing Regulated Advice within the UK to High Net worth clients,
Experience of building a client base using internal and external networks,
Be effective in gaining an in-depth understanding of client’s needs and advising on a diverse range of wealth management solutions,
Knowledge of delivering high quality bespoke advice, maximizing value for our clients and negotiating the best commercial outcome

Purpose of the role
Deliver exceptional sales and business performance by acquiring, developing and maintaining highly proactive, long term client relationships. Protect Barclays reputation through sound risk decisions by managing client group within their risk profile and appropriate regulatory framework.
Accountabilities
Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients - identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs.
Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in their portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client / prospect queries and requests and identifying opportunities that will deliver long term commercial reward.
Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk.
Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Service/group relationships - referrals to group colleagues.
