This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a AVP – APAC Prime ETF Middle Office. You will be responsible for managing the ETF creation & redemption lifecycle in Hong Kong and other Asian markets and also supervise the team to ensure all exceptions, and queries are resolved in a timely manner.
Other key focus of the role will include:
- Work with Trading, Trade Capture Utility, back office, custodians and brokers on resolving any queries from internal or external sources
- Review operational guides and define operating model to support ETF operations
- Actively question and challenge existing practices / procedures and make improvement suggestions
- Engage with Project and IT teams on all projects and UAT sessions
- Engage with Regulatory Control and be aware of all regulatory requirements

To be successful for the role, candidates should possess the following skills or experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or equivalent with preferably 4+ years relevant experience in trade support / capital markets / custodial function
- Excellent communication skills, experience dealing with traders and management preferred and with strong knowledge of ETF and the creation/redemption process in Hong Kong
- Ability to multi-task in a high pressure, time sensitive environment and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and a team player with ability to work autonomously and independently
- Knowledge of Asia equities markets and equity derivative products including equity swap is a plus
- Experience in reviewing operational guide and fund prospectus is a plus
- Experience in the process design or improvement projects and a strong mindset for continuous process improvement
- The role holder will need to be fluent in English. Proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is a plus as he/she will be dealing with Asian markets

Accountabilities
- Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
- Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
