Explore locationThis is an exciting opportunity to join Barclays' Investment Bank 1LOD Financial Crime KYC Advisory team in Singapore. The team is responsible for providing KYC advisory guidance on complex KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) matters across the client lifecycle. The role serves as a key escalation point for Front Office, Client Risk and KYC Operations teams, ensuring that financial crime risks are appropriately identified, assessed and managed in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk appetite.
In this role, you will work closely with Front Office, Client Risk, Operations and Compliance teams and be responsible for,
KYC & Financial Crime Advisory – Provide KYC guidance across the client lifecycle.
Escalation Management - Primary escalation point for complex KYC and client risk matters.
Enhanced Due Diligence - Conduct and review EDD assessments for high-risk customers.
Stakeholder Engagement – Support the relationship and engagement across the 3 Lines of Defences.
Risk Governance & Continuous Improvement - Ensure advisory activities are aligned to applicable policies, standards and risk appetite.
To be successful as an Investment Bank Financial Crime KYC Advisory Officer, you should have experience with:
Experience in KYC, AML, Financial Crime, Compliance or Client Risk within Corporate or Investment Banking.
Excellent understanding of: KYC/CDD/EDD requirements, AML regulations, Sanctions compliance, PEP and adverse media risk assessments
Financial crime risk management principles
Experience handling complex onboarding and client review cases.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
