Explore locationJoin us as an AVP Cobol Product Engineer at Barclays and get involved in developing the central customer data repository for the bank, key for our continuous operations. This role is to identify solutions to meet business and regulatory requirements, supporting through the full Software Development Life Cycle into the production environment.
To be successful as a product engineer, you should have:
Prior experience in mainframe technology, in particular:
- COBOL
- DB2 SQL
- IMS DC
- CICS
- Ideally zOS Connect system APIs
Be a self-starter with proven analysis, impact assessment and problem solving skills
Experience in writing application/system designs to a high standard
Some other highly valued skills include:
Knowledge of Barclays Customer & Risk Systems
Ability to communicate with colleagues of varying technical competence
Flexibility in managing workload

This role will be based out of our Knutsford office.
