Explore locationJoin us as a Crisis Manager at Barclays and become a key member of the Crisis Management Team, leading the organisation’s response to major incidents and enterprise-wide risks. You’ll drive crisis preparedness, coordinate rapid and effective responses, and ensure business continuity across the group. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-pressure environments, can quickly understand complex situations, and is passionate about making a tangible impact through proactive crisis management and strategic planning.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Experience as a Crisis Manager with the ability to handle highly complex crisis situations through hands-on management of real events.
Proven experience in communicating with and managing senior stakeholders during crisis situations.
Skilled in planning and executing comprehensive crisis exercises.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience in technology incident arrangement at operational level and escalations.
Background in financial services with a solid understanding of enterprise risk models.
Knowledge of the application and implementation of enterprise risk frameworks.
Understanding of how resilience and response plans are executed in practice.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
The successful candidate will be based in Radbroke Hall, Knutsford.
Purpose of the role
To develop, implement, and maintain an effective resilience strategy and Operational Recovery Planning and Incident Management framework aligned to industry leading standards and controls and regulatory expectations, to enable the bank to respond and recover important business services to severe but plausible scenarios, and minimise the impact to customers, clients, colleagues and the wider market.
