Explore locationJoin us at Barclays as a Data Modeller, where you'll responsible be for owning and evolving conceptual, logical and physical data models that power Foundational / Business / Consumer Data Products. To be successful as a Data Modeller, you should have:
Ability to lead conceptual/logical modelling, and partner with engineering on physical design.
Capability to translate models into testable, engineering-ready deliverables with high-quality source-to-target mappings.
Ample command of standards (naming/definitions/domains) plus lineage, take care of, CDE tagging, traceability and control evidence, producing artefacts that stand up to audit/regulatory scrutiny.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Ability to work within canonical patterns, manage change control/versioning, and drive cross-team alignment.
Exposure to modern cloud data platforms & delivery patterns.
Experience working within federated or product‑aligned data operating models.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based in either our Knutsford or Northampton office.
Purpose of the role
To design, implement, and maintain conceptual, Logical and Physical data models that meet business data/process and technology requirements, by using designs and data strategies across a wide selection of platforms.
