Why the Credit Research Summer Intern Programme?
Barclays' award-winning Credit Research team empowers internal and external clients to make well-informed investment choices by providing expert insights. Covering Investment Grade, High Yield, Emerging Markets, Municipals, and Credit Strategy, this team offers actionable insights and innovative products daily. You can test your potential as a summer analyst here.
Credit Research analysts focus on specific sectors, conducting company and industry analysis. They collaborate with both internal departments (trading, sales, investment banking) and external clients (money managers, pension funds, hedge funds) regularly to enhance credit market evaluation. This dynamic role involves close collaboration with Sales & Trading, offering a fast-paced, engaging experience.
As a summer analyst, you'll rotate through two Credit Research coverage areas, gaining hands-on experience and making meaningful contributions. Guided by a senior analyst, you'll employ critical thinking to provide insights for investment theses and reports.
Responsibilities include analysing macro industry trends, maintaining financial models, gathering and interpreting data, crafting client-centric marketing materials and possibly participating in client interactions. Moreover, you'll collaborate with our Quantitative Portfolio Strategies and Data Science teams, gaining insights into advanced financial analysis and staying abreast of the field's latest developments.
