We are seeking a talented and motivated hands-on Senior Developer to work in a dynamic front-office technology team, developing various facets of risk management for the equity derivatives trading desk in a highly distributed, low-latency platform. This is your chance to work on a highly visible, real-time front-office Flow Derivatives platform for a large revenue-generating trading desk. You’ll have face time with traders, quants, and other business users, both to understand new feature requests and to provide support.
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Have worked in designing core Java-based applications and distributed architectures; you should have a solid understanding of design patterns, multi-threading, collections, concurrency & optimization, with strong experience in Linux/Unix and distributed file systems
- Be a fully hands-on multitasker with top-notch programming skills, along with a keen eye for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Have the ability to produce well-tested, documented, high-performance code to tight schedules.
Other highly valued skills include:
- Knowledge of the equity derivatives domain, along with pricing and risk mechanisms.
- Strong communication skills, with experience in business-facing front-office applications, as well as working with a global team of traders, quants, operations, and other business functions.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, or any container technology would be an added advantage.

- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
