Explore locationJoin us as a Financial Crime Business Oversight Compliance VP at Barclays, where you'll support the oversight and development of the financial crime systems and controls environment. The role will be multidisciplinary and support the activities of the Business Oversight Compliance function including supporting transformation programs with a focus on high-risk products, sectors and client types.
To be successful as a Financial Crime Business Oversight Compliance VP, you should have experience with;
Implementing/providing oversight of best-in-class financial crime systems and controls
providing financial crime oversight of complex businesses with differing risk profiles
drafting guidance focussed on high-risk products, sectors and client types
knowledge of Investment or Corporate Banking products
ability to operate under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Some other highly valued skills may include;
Familiarity with regulatory expectations and compliance frameworks
Working in a second line of defence or oversight function
Experience in working on transformation programmes
Strong industry connectivity
Data-driven
Location: London with 3 anchor days in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Purpose of the role
To provide data-led expert oversight and check and challenge on business and compliance matters to evidence that the organisation is operating in a compliance with Barclays legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
Accountabilities
Identification and assessment of compliance risks through thorough reviews of business activities, changes, processes, testing and systems
Engage in “check and challenge” in relation to the execution of financial crime controls operated in the First Line of Defence; to ensure that activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal Barclays Policies and Standards, the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and aligned to the defined Risk Appetite Statement
Support the development of a firm-wide approach to client and control-environment matters, ensuring consistent application across Group. This will require working with peers in the Financial Crime function in order to deliver the right outcomes for the Group
Support financial crime transformation programs, including the development of guidance relating to anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing (AML/CTF) for high risk customer types, sectors and industries
Partner with key stakeholders to ensure financial crime initiatives are successfully tracked to deliverables, timeliness and expected outcomes
Collaboration with 1LOD, other relevant Compliance teams and legal, and relevant risk management functions to facilitate a comprehensive approach to compliance and risk management.
