We are seeking a Head of Workforce Planning and Insights for Group Tech.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Proven experience in strategic workforce planning and people analytics within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to synthesize and analyse complex data into clear, concise, executive‑level insight and recommendations.
  • Understanding of workforce modelling, scenario planning, and capacity forecasting

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Experience in technology, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of job architecture, role catalogues, skills frameworks, or organisational design.
  • Background with a strong analytical focus and hands‑on experience with workforce systems and data platforms (e.g., Workday, people analytics tools, BI platforms etc).

You may be assessed on key skills that support success in this role, such as risk and governance methodologies, strategic thinking, and best practices for standard technology control processes, alongside role-specific technical skills. 

This role is based out of our London office.

Purpose of the role

To support the workforce planning and insights across Group Tech and EVP program, Leading the development and execution of workforce planning strategies to support business growth, transformation, and operational excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business priorities, translating them into workforce requirements and actionable plans.
  • Analyze workforce data, trends, and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for talent management, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Develop and maintain advanced reporting tools and dashboards to enable data-driven decision making across the business.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to optimize workforce structures, improve productivity, and manage change initiatives.
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to workforce supply and demand, proactively addressing gaps and challenges.
  • Champion Barclays’ values and behaviors, fostering a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards in all workforce planning activities.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to a high-performing and engaged HR function.
