As a Sustainability Investor Relations Assistant Vice President, you will help members of the team to create investor presentations and related materials to articulate Barclays’ investment case, sustainability strategy, performance in quarterly results, and other deliverables. You will assist the team in representing Barclays at investor meetings and industry conferences, as well as supporting with analyst, rating agency, and wider stakeholder engagement. Your primary focus will be supporting the Sustainability Investor Relations team, but you will also be involved with the wider work of the Investor Relations Team which includes Equity and Debt.
To be successful as a Sustainability Investor Relations – AVP you should have the following experience:
- Background in finance, economics, sustainability, or related disciplines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Some other highly valued skills may include
- Prior experience in a Sustainability role, investor relations, rating agencies (ESG), investment banking or research, capital markets, or accounting and finance
This role is based within our London office.

Purpose of the role
To communicate the bank’s financial performance, strategic plans, and overall value proposition to a diverse audience of investors, analysts, and other financial stakeholders to maintain the relationship between the bank and its investors.
Accountabilities
- Development and implementation of comprehensive investor relations strategies to enhance the company's visibility and reputation among the investment community.
- Preparation and review of investor presentations and related materials.
- Management of investor events and materials to effectively communicate the company's story to investors, and coordination of company's participation in investor conferences and industry events.
- Development and maintenance of relationships with key shareholders, investors and new target shareholders with a comprehensive shareholder management programme.
- Analysis of market issues for colleagues and senior management.
- Engagement with investors and analysts and ensure appropriate communication, as well as excellent and timely responses to questions.
- Management of and response to feedback on Barclays business performance from Investor Relations Stakeholders.
