Why the Private Bank & Wealth Management Graduate Programme?
Our two-year Explorer programme develops your understanding and expertise through a deep exploration of three vital areas: Product, Strategy/Business Management and Relationship Management. You’ll gain international exposure to our business and build a close relationship with the Corporate and Investment Bank, as you help our clients build on their achievements and fulfil their potential.

Private Bank & Wealth Management at Barclays
Barclays Private Bank works closely with high-net-worth clients and their advisors who have complex banking and investment needs, both in the UK and across the world. We are here to understand their situation and their aspirations, so we can help them to reach their goals. We harness a global network of knowledge, expertise and professional partners to meet our clients’ unique requirements. Whatever they want to achieve, our Private Bankers and specialists create the personalised solutions that will help them achieve it.
Who we're looking for
To be considered for this programme, you must be motivated and curious with a degree or expected degree in any area.
Ideally, you'll be interested in finance and business, proactive and a good communicator. We value resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit, all of which might be showcased through your involvement in extracurricular activities.
For the graduate programme:
Please be advised that the 2026 Private Bank and Wealth Management Graduate Programme is not one which we can offer sponsorship for at this time. Accordingly, applicants for this position will need to have the legal right to work in the UK on a full time basis from August 2026 to August 2028.
Following the graduate programme:
Please note that the Private Bank and Wealth Management business area is currently deemed out of scope for sponsorship. Please be assured that we considered all factors very carefully, prior to making this decision. Accordingly, as it currently stands, you would not be eligible to receive a Skilled Worker Visa from Barclays at the end of the Graduate Programme if you obtain a role in this area.

Purpose of the role
To participate in the day-to-day activities of the private bank and wealth management division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
