Are you a dynamic professional with expertise in Asset Based Lending and Invoice Finance? We are looking for a strategic thinker to drive revenue, engage customers, and tailor financial solutions to meet diverse business needs. This role focuses on generating revenue by promoting the bank's diverse products and services to various customer segments. Acting as the subject matter expert for structuring and executing complex Asset Based Lending and Invoice Finance solutions, the position involves specialist product analysis, collaboratively negotiating with current and potential, analysing market trends, and providing strategic input for sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Global Transaction Banking team with the origination of new ABL and Invoice Finance transactions, specialising in deal pitches, structuring and execution for transactions >£15m in size

  • Lead the preparation and negotiation of customer facing documents, indicative term sheets and product specific credit analysis

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver client-focused solutions, identifying cross sell opportunities across GTB and Barclays Corporate Banking, and seamless execution of service with a client first mindset

  • Engage with legal panel firms and lead negotiations alongside the deal team

  • Act as a conduit between Origination, Operations and Product to drive operational efficiency, product enhancement and up to date documentation and standards

  • Engage with senior stakeholders, present at governance forums, and build strong relationships across the organisation

  • Attend external networking events and client meetings, acting as GTB ambassador and ABL and Invoice Finance specialist

  • Provide detailed analysis of ABL market trends, sector knowledge and competitors' market position on an on-going basis

  • Assist the GTB ABL proposition by analysing our growth strategy across different customer segments and sectors in order to refine and improve our strategy

 Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience with invoice financing and asset-based lending products, including legal documentation and transaction underwriting

  • Very strong financial and analytical skills with experience of credit analysis and product specific due diligence and analysis

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities

  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive innovative solutions

  • Client first mindset and corporate banking client facing experience

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desirable Skills:

  • Lending and corporate banking background

  • Broader knowledge of other Structured Trade solutions. E.g. Non-Recourse Receivables Finance

  • Invoice Finance and ABL collateral due diligence / valuation experience

  • CoPilot Optimisation

Purpose of the role

To generate revenue and promote the bank's diverse product and service offerings to various customer segments, acting as the SME with regards the structuring and execution of complex Trade & Working Capital Product offerings. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification of potential customers, analysing their needs and preferences, and staying abreast of emerging market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Creation of detailed profiles for target customer segments, outlining their demographics, financial habits, and pain points to tailor sales approaches and product recommendations.
  • Relationship management of potential and existing customer relations through the execution of high-quality customer support, by responding to queries and resolving issues, gaining their customer trust, and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Understanding of the features, benefits, risks, and compliance requirements of various banking products and services offered. Understanding of the key features, benefits, risks, enhancements, and regulatory requirements of new and existing banking products, and communicate insights clearly to potential customers to address their financial needs.
  • Collaboration with Specialist Sales staff to develop compelling sales pitches and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the bank's offerings to convert leads into customers, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
  • Collection and analysis of customer feedback on various products, services, and overall experience, to support the development of reports that communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders, to inform product development and sales strategies.
