Explore locationJoin us at Barclays as a Vice President Transaction Monitoring (TM) Detection Solution Design Owner, where you will play a key role in a major strategic transformation programme within Barclays, focused on the design, development and implementation of the next generation of Transaction Monitoring (TM) solutions. Working across Barclays UK (BUK) and Barclays International (BI), you will contribute to the evolution of the Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring framework, driving innovation, optimisation and enhanced detection capabilities through modern surveillance technologies. The role will focus predominantly on the design, development and optimisation of TM solutions for in-scope Barclays UK (BUK) and Barclays International (BI) businesses and jurisdictions.
To be successful as a Vice President TM Detection Solution Design Owner, you should have experience with;
Implementing, optimising, and tuning TM systems or similar financial crime controls
Working in a regulated business environment with governance, control and risk management exposure, ensuring adherence to action and escalation procedures
Working within a regulated environment with exposure to governance, risk management and control frameworks, ensuring adherence to action, escalation and oversight procedures.
Leveraging analytical and technical tools for data exploration, analysis, visualisation and solution development
Knowledge of product across a numbers of financial services business lines including activities of Retail, corporate, investment and private bank, in the context of financial crime risk management
Some other highly valued skills may include;
Experience coding in SQL, Scala, Spark, Python, etc
Appreciation of financial crime, AML, and transaction monitoring/detection systems and processes, including AML and terrorist financing trends and typologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a considerable record of building relationships and engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders across functions
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role has the option to work from either London or Glasgow.

To design, develop, implement, and maintain various statistical, mathematical and machine learning models to support decision-making by analysis and solving complex problems.
