Join us as an Analyst GTB Sales, where you will support the origination and management of deposits and liquidity solutions for corporate and financial institution clients. Develop high-quality pitch materials, RFP responses and client proposals to support mandate conversion. Participate in client discussions covering cash management, liquidity, payments, trade finance and working capital solutions. Support the origination and structuring of trade and working capital transactions, including documentary trade, receivables finance, payables finance and open account solutions. Work closely with Treasury, Product, Risk, Legal and Operations teams to structure solutions that meet client needs within Barclays’ risk appetite. Support end-to-end deal execution, including approvals, documentation and handover to implementation teams. Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, deal tracking and revenue forecasting, ensuring strong CRM hygiene and timely updates. Develop an understanding of client treasury needs, supply chain dynamics and working capital cycles. Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and progressively establish direct client relationships. Stay informed on market developments, competitive dynamics and regulatory considerations impacting transaction banking across Singapore and APAC. Ensure adherence to Barclays policies, AML, KYC, sanctions and applicable regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and escalate conduct, risk and control-related concerns.


To be successful in this role, you should

  • Have strong knowledge of transaction banking products, including liquidity, payments, trade finance and working capital solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, execution, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have the ability to understand client requirements and translate them into appropriate banking solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities within defined timelines.
  • Have a strong understanding of risk, controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Be able to work effectively with senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Treasury, Risk, Legal and Operations.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Transaction Banking, Trade & Working Capital, Liquidity, Payments, Cash Management or a related role.
  • Good understanding of liquidity, payments, trade and working capital solutions.
  • Familiarity with corporate treasury concepts, trade documentation and cross-border transaction flows.
  • Strong analytical, execution and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of India regulatory requirements and APAC trade corridors.
  • Experience supporting corporate and/or financial institution clients.
  • Exposure to deposits, liquidity management, cash management, payments, trade finance or working capital solutions.
  • Experience in preparing client pitches, RFP responses and transaction proposals.
  • Understanding of treasury and working capital optimisation.

Purpose of the role

To generate revenue and promote the bank's diverse product and service offerings to various customer segments. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification of potential customers, analysing their needs and preferences, and staying abreast of emerging market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Creation of detailed profiles for target customer segments, outlining their demographics, financial habits, and pain points to tailor sales approaches and product recommendations.
  • Relationship management of potential and existing customer relations through the execution of high-quality customer support, by responding to queries and resolving issues, gaining their customer trust, and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Understanding of the features, benefits, risks, and compliance requirements of various banking products and services offered. Understanding of the key features, benefits, risks, enhancements, and regulatory requirements of new and existing banking products, and communicate insights clearly to potential customers to address their financial needs.
  • Development of compelling sales pitches and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the bank's offerings to convert leads into customers, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
  • Collection and analysis of customer feedback on various products, services, and overall experience, to support the development of reports that communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders, to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Monitoring of lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and other relevant metrics to assess sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
