Join us as an AVP, Citizenship at Barclays, where you will play a key role in driving impactful efforts across the communities where we operate. This role involves remove entirely delivery of programming, managing citizenship events with senior leaders, ensuring compliance with all governance and controls and strategic planning with our citizenship partners. You’ll collaborate with colleagues at all levels, leveraging your organizational, finance, and communication skills to support meaningful programs. To be successful as an AVP, Citizenship, you should have experience with:

  • Comfortable enforcing governance & controls and following procedures Ability to handle inquiries and build relationships with colleagues
  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments
  • Organizational and event management skills

This role is based in New York

Salary/rate minimum $125,000

Salary/rate maximum $145,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To support the design and delivery of Barclays’ Citizenship strategy, furthering Barclays’ efforts to make a positive impact on the communities in which it operates.

Accountabilities

  • Development and implementation of impactful Citizenship partnerships, programmes and colleague engagement opportunities.
  • Management of relationships with non-governmental organisations, non-profits and other external organisations or industry groups to align and support community impact objectives.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to maximise engagement in Barclays’ Citizenship agenda.
  • Development of initiatives that support and educate relevant stakeholder groups on Barclays’ Citizenship programmes to build trust and credibility with clients, employees, and shareholders.
  • Evaluation of programmes and partnerships to evolve and enhance Barclays’ approach to Citizenship.

  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
