Join Barclays as a client-centric Equities Electronic Coverage VP, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering algorithmic trading solutions to an institutional client base. This hybrid role blends sales and trading expertise, with a sharp focus on cultivating deep client relationships, expanding the client base, and ensuring a seamless, high-touch trading experience. You’ll act as a strategic advisor, guiding clients through platform configuration, execution strategies, and product adoption across equities and derivatives. Your success will hinge on your ability to translate technical capabilities into client value, consistently address trading needs, and drive engagement through insight, responsiveness, and trust.

To be successful as an Equities Electronic Coverage VP, you should have:

  • Proven experience in electronic trading, ideally within equities and derivatives

  • A thorough understanding of algorithmic trading strategies and their application in institutional markets

  • The ability to configure and troubleshoot trading platforms to support client needs

  • Demonstrated success in selling trading solutions and building long-term client relationships

Minimum Salary: $140,000

Maximum Salary: $250,000

Purpose of the role

To develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and achieve revenue targets. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives.
  • Presentation and pitching of financial products and services to clients, tailored to their requirements.
  • Liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of client requests.
  • Stay updated on market trends, financial products, and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to provide clients with insights and market updates.
  • Negotiation of terms and agreements with clients to finalise sales transactions.
