Join Barclays Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) as our Interior Design Manager – Americas, and help shape the environments that define our brand, drive operational excellence, and elevate the experience for employees and clients alike. In this dynamic role, you’ll bring together creative vision, technical precision, and project leadership to influence the design and execution of corporate office spaces, amenities, and client-facing facilities across the US, Canada, and Mexico—including a landmark multi-year renovation of Barclays’ U.S. Headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. Reporting to the Global Head of Design & Construction, you’ll oversee design deliverables with architects, review technical documents and specifications, research furniture and materials, and organize and maintain a comprehensive finish library. To be successful in your role as Interior Design Manager, you should have:

  • Experience in commercial interior design, with proven success in managing projects for corporate, financial, or institutional clients

  • A robust portfolio demonstrating expertise in large-scale workplace or banking environments

  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and project management tools, and professional certifications (NCIDQ, LEED, PMP) are considered assets

  • Extensive knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture systems, and workplace technology integration, and familiarity with building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainable design practices

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to lead teams, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and manage complex project schedules

This role is based in New York, NY.

Minimum Salary: $140,000.00

Maximum Salary: $200,000.00

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To manage and develop capital project proposals and operations aligned to the needs of the bank. 

Accountabilities

  • Management, development and execution of building, real estate and physical asset security projects and proposals, including workspace, engineering, and facility upgrades.
  • Management of planning, design, procurement, resourcing, reporting and construction processes to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identification of potential risks and issues associated to capital projects and development of risk management strategies to mitigate them by monitoring risk exposure and taking corrective action.
  • Management of project budget for real estate and physical security projects by tracking expenses, forecasting costs and identifying cost saving opportunities.
  • Management of stakeholder relations including project sponsors, vendors, regulatory agencies, and the facilities management team to align capital project operations with the bank's objectives.
  • Identification of opportunities to improve the delivery processes for capital projects and implement best practices to enhance project performance.
  • Execution of capital projects that meet agreed quality standards, and are compliant with relevant laws, regulation, and policies.
