Explore locationJoin us as a Leveraged & Investment Grade Loan Execution Vice President at Barclays. This role is centered on the coordination and execution of loan transactions and plays a vital role in supporting Portfolio Management and the Wholesale/Global Lending Group. As a key member of the team, you will help optimize capital allocation and returns, strengthen credit and lending processes, and ensure rigorous controls throughout the loan lifecycle. Success in this role requires ample execution discipline, deep knowledge of syndicated and bilateral lending, and the ability to collaborate across a wide range of internal stakeholders. You will work in close partnership with Coverage, Portfolio Management, Syndicate, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Finance (Lev Fin), Credit Risk, and Wholesale Lending Operations (Loan Operations) to structure, negotiate, and execute lending activity across CIB Americas. Lending activity spans a broad spectrum of transactions, including event-driven financings such as financial sponsor deals, corporate mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and management buyouts.
To be successful as a Leveraged & Investment Grade Loan Execution Vice President, you should have:
Proven experience coordinating and executing bilateral and syndicated loan transactions, including event-driven financings such as M&A, LBOs, IPOs, and core corporate lending
A deep understanding of credit agreements, lending controls, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to navigate complex documentation and post-closing activities
Demonstrated familiarity with Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, and how loan products fit into broader capital structures
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Portfolio Management and/or Credit Risk

This role is regulated by FINRA.
Minimum Salary: $175,000
Maximum Salary: $225,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Purpose of the role
To support with the management of the relationship lending portfolio for the Investment Bank (IB) with the primary goal of maximizing the return on equity of the loan portfolio and associated business cases.
