What will you be doing?

Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Product Manager in New York, NY (multiple positions available):

1.    Responsible for equity trading initiatives in the Americas region including algorithmic trading, order routing, and liquidity product.
2.    Be a key architect in defining the product roadmap as it relates to BARX Equity Algorithms, and BARX Smart Order Router, drive delivery against this roadmap and continuously interact with senior management around product priorities.
3.    Liaise with external clients, trading venues and industry bodies to help keep the product aligned with client requirements and changing market structure.
4.    Support business initiatives across the electronic execution platform (including Algo/SOR).
5.    Engage with clients on algorithmic usage and provide execution advisory services.
6.    Work with traders and engineers on use case development and product training.
7.    Gather requirements for bespoke client features.
8.    Support Sales with knowledge of the product’s features, performance, and use.
9.    Support production inquiries related to product suite.
10.    Gather and analyze large data sets across multiple data platforms to influence software decisions.
11.    Formulate rollout plans, leveraging data to understand feature demand across client base.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $220,000 per year

Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $225,000 per year

Purpose of the role

To develop, launch, and manage the portfolio of financial products and services for the global markets, collaborating with a team of product managers, traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to define product strategies, develop roadmaps, and bring new products to market, also playing a key role in gathering and analysis of market intelligence, identifying client needs, and developing competitive differentiators. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and execution of product strategy for financial products and services offered within the Markets division.
  • Identification of market opportunities and customer needs to create new products or enhance existing ones.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including traders, sales, risk management, and technology, to define product requirements.
  • Market data analysis to make informed decisions regarding product positioning and pricing.
  • Management of the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitoring of product performance, through analysing metrics and client feedback.
