- Knowledgeable in critical building management infrastructure and systems like: HVAC, Vertical Transport, Security (CCTV, Access Control), etc.

Minimum Salary: $250,000
Maximum Salary: $325,000

Purpose of the role
To manage and develop capital project proposals and operations aligned to the needs of the bank.
Accountabilities
- Lead the Design and implementation of a Smart Building Strategy for the firm’s NYC Headquarters and global real estate portfolio. In this role, you will work with key internal and external stakeholders to assure that Barclay’s is positioned to deliver building solutions that are modern, efficient, intelligent and align with the firms’ Net Zero Sustainability Agenda.
- You will be expected to work across the CRES and Technology teams to develop and implement a global strategy for connecting, provisioning, securing and managing the Internet of Things (IOT) with a specific emphasis on Real Estate and Operational technologies. You will plan, deliver, and oversee the technical delivery of an integrated Intelligent Building solution that can be used at the firms new NYC Headquarters and scaled globally.
To be successful as a Senior Smart Building strategist, we will be looking for you to:
- Create and chair an IOT Center of Excellence which will bring SME Leadership across various workstreams to generate the standards, processes and controls needed to securely bring emerging technologies into the Barclay’s technology and real estate ecosystem without exposing the firm to operational, and cyber risk.
- Collaborate across internal teams like: Network Engineering, Operations, Facilities Management, CRES, Security (Physical and Cyber), Technology, etc. to evaluate IOT markets, test devices and operationalize selected technologies in a lab environment.
- Develop a go forward operational support model for the “products/technologies” that will be introduced into the firm and leveraged at scale.
- Identify Smart Building Strategies for new building projects as well as existing portfolio optimizations that utilize technology and enhanced operational processes to improve building efficiencies and client experience.
- Identify and implement a risk management strategy to assure the Smart Building solutions deployed minimizes risk to the firm and our buildings.
- Management of Smart Building budget for real estate and physical security projects by tracking expenses, forecasting costs and identifying cost saving opportunities.
- Management of stakeholder relations including project sponsors, vendors, regulatory agencies, and the facilities management team to align Smart Building operations with the bank's objectives.
- Collaborate and work in conjunction with the Smart Building Consultant for the items described above for both the 745-7th avenue project and for the global real estate portfolio.
