What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Vice President, QA Scenarios in New York, NY (multiple positions available):

• Developing models to support Barclays’ Scenarios expansion processes, playing a key role in driving, planning, stress testing and impairment processes helping to manage the balance sheet of the firm.
• Evaluating scenario expansion to ensure consistency with scenario narrative.
• Responsible for explaining scenario trajectories to various stakeholders and responding to queries from users.
• Mentoring and training junior colleagues on scenario model development.
• Managing stakeholder expectation and engagement in scenario management for stress testing and impairment.
• Creating documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and replication of results.
• Writing codes in R and Python to maintain and upgrade the code base.
• Responsible for model implementation and testing to ensure effective control framework during production deployment.
• Supervising two (2) direct reports.
• May telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $173,500 per year 

Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $190,850 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, implement, and support mathematical, statistical, and machine learning models and analytics used in business decision-making

Accountabilities

• Design analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise.
• Collaboration with technology to specify any dependencies required for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments and tools.
• Development of high performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modelling solutions, demonstrating their efficacy to business users and independent validation teams.
• Implementation of analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software and work with technology to operationalise them.
• Provision of ongoing support for the continued effectiveness of analytics and modelling solutions to users.
• Demonstrate conformance to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly Model Risk Policy.
• Ensure all development activities are undertaken within the defined control environment.
