Step into the role of Analyst-PEP (Politically Exposed Person) and High-Risk at Barclays, where you will play a pivotal role to manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives and compliance with relevant regulators.  You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct.

To be successful as a Analyst- PEP (Politically Exposed Person) and High-Risk at Barclays, you should have below critical skills.

  • Conduct thorough due diligence to identify PEPs, their family members, and close associates as part of the client onboarding process or periodic reviews.

  • Assess and monitor high-risk individuals or entities across all business lines and ensure comprehensive records are maintained.

  • Utilize external databases, watchlists, and other sources to identify PEPs and high-risk clients.

  • Perform EDD on PEPs and high-risk clients, including gathering, analyzing, and verifying information about the client’s background, sources of wealth, business activities, and other risk factors.

  • Analyze and assess potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime risks associated with PEPs and high-risk clients.

  • Prepare risk assessments and provide recommendations on how to mitigate or manage risks within the organization’s risk tolerance.

This role is based out of Noida.

Purpose of the role

To complete EDD/Exits cases which includes day to day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

  • Support with day to day Enhance Due Diligence (EDD)/Exits initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Execution of EDD reviews on high-risk customers to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and policies.
  • Execution of exit reviews on customers who are having their accounts closed to mitigate risk, aligned to compliance and internal policy.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate EDD and exit processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in EDD and exit processes.
  • Development and implementation of Issue resolutions relating to any inefficient controls .
  • Development of reports and presentations on EDD and exit performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve EDD and exit efficiency and effectiveness.
