To be successful as a "Assistant Manager​", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Deliver insightful analysis and assist in the development of pitch books

  • Source public records to complete financial analysis and to contribute business logic to pitch books

  • Conduct overall market and industry research to incorporate into pitch books

  • Develop customer/supplier and market benchmarks

  • Share knowledge and best practice standards to continuously improve content delivery 

  • Compile accurate and thorough reports measuring research output and impact on deal success

  • Conduct meetings to provide feedback and updates on progress and results

  • Provide reports summarizing team activities and statistics on driving business success

  • Ensure adherence to and compliance with governance, risk policies, procedures and compliance policies

  • Ensure that the highest quality and accuracy standards are achieved in all market and industry research and that it matches the pitch book structure and requirements

  • Drive quality improvements initiatives

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across businesses served.

  • Work with the functional owners to ensure cohesion between individual and departmental goals.

  • Liaise with Barclays Corporate senior management to obtain feedback on support levels and quality of output and build improvements into the research

  • Ability to quickly think on one’s feet and arrive at a solution after the analysing the situation

  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards 

  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills

  • Understanding of advanced financial analysis concepts to undertake analysis of publicly listed firms and multinational corporates

  • Knowledge of Marketing & Industry research tools – Factiva, Refinitiv, Capital IQ, Mintel, etc.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, commercial or investment banking

  • MS Office Applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)

  • Communication skills

  • Ability to synthesise and summarise information concisely

  • Ability to speak internationally with ease

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Preferably a Postgraduate, or MBA, or MBA equivalent or CA/CFA

  • Market and industry research experience, preferably for a business research or consulting firm

  • Relevant experience of working in a financial services institution preferred

  • Aptitude to work in a variable business environment, periodically requiring tight deadlines and aggressive turn-around times

  • Flexible to work in shifts, particular UK

This role will be based out of Noida.

Purpose of the role

To support coverage to grow income for both new and existing customers by providing marketing leading tools, a world class learning & development programme as well as analytical support in terms of sales management tools to contribute to the overall success of UKC. 

Accountabilities

  • Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing roadmap to provides market leading Tools for RDs and Coverage.
  • Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing training plan to provide ‘World Class Learning’.
  • Support the delivery of market leading client collateral to provide a competitive advantage to RDs.   .
  • Collaboration with Product to develop market leading industry/segment focused products and multi product solutions and develop and drive initiatives.
  • Development of the data capability across UK Corporate to enable delivery of client insights to drive acquisitions and increase wallet share.
  • Maximise the positive impact of UCRM and Salesforce as a tool for Corporate Banking.
  • Implementation of agreed minimum standards and best practices across UK Corporate  and support this with sales management tools to drive overall success.
